The Summit Lodge is situated on the quiet western
edge of Graskop, a small tourist village, 8 km from
God's Window and 30km from the 3rd largest canyon in the
World, the Blyde River Canyon. The Summit Lodge has an
unique and truly African Atmosphere. There is very
little that holds up to the feel and smell of an African
thatched roof rondavels, complete with en-suite bathroom
and 3 star service.
The Summit Lodge is the sort of place where memories are
made. So many people have had their birthday parties
there, have been married there, have had second
honeymoons there. Literally thousands of pictures have
been taken by our guests and international visitors of
the cute round rooms (rondavels) and the garden and the
dining room and fire place.
Yes, the lodge is the kind of place where you visit and
make friends with the staff and when you leave you feel
like crying. Far away from the city’s noise, the traffic
congestion and smog. Come experience the beautiful
quietness, the laid back atmosphere and the warmness of
the people of Summit Lodge. Its truly something

ACCOMMODATION
Your choice of Bed Only,
Bed & Breakfast, Dinner Bed & Breakfast or Self Catering
Accommodation. Backpackers accommodation and camp sites
also available.
The Lodge:
The Summit Lodge offers 12 thatched roof rondavels, one
cute log hut and 3 self catering units. There is also a
Honeymooner's rondavel. A nice, large double size
rondavels with double bed, bathroom, kitchen, lounge
area, TV and private porch. Honeymooners receive a
bottle of champagne and fruit parcel on first night.
All rooms are equipped with TV, bathroom, towels,
kettle, tea / coffee, shower gel, lotion, shower caps,
sewing kits and hairdryers on request. The spacious one
hectare lawned garden, filled with indigenous tree ferns
and other plants means well spaced rondavels, providing
ample parking space and privacy.
Backpackers:
Accommodation is in a funky and unique backpackers'
train coach for the budget conscious. Private
compartments each sleeping 1-2 persons.
Camp Site:
The neat and lawned camp site and swimming pool in the
lush, electrically fenced garden, is safe and
affordable. Bring your own tent.
DINING:
Our restaurant is open from 07h00 in the morning. Self
catering guests are welcome to order cash breakfasts
from our a-la-carte breakfast menu. The restaurant stays
open until 21h00 and our ribs and fillets are the best!

ENTERTAINMENT
The Summit Lodge has a cozy pub, games room with pool
tables, table tennis and darts and on those lazy sunny
days guests can relax at the swimming pool. The pub and
restaurant are very popular, and relaxing on the Summit
pub's front porch for a sundowner or light meal, and is
a wonderful way to end off after a full day safari.

Guided quad bike trails, Abseiling, White Water Rafting,
4x4 mountain safaris, horse riding, bungie-big swing and
zip line rides (over the 80m deep Graskop Gorge),
hiking, cycling, fishing, game drives, Micro Light
Aeroplane flights.
