Description:
Situated on 1800 hectares of Mountain Reserve, nestled
in the idyllic Elephant River Conservatory area of
Mpumalanga. It is a remarkable resort in a valley
surrounded by gorges, typical of majestic Mpumalanga.
This Resort is split into two camps, the four star
Leopard’s view and the three star Hunter’s Creek
(self-catering) , both catering for guests individual
needs.
This reserve boasts zebra, a large variety of antelope,
warthogs and more. Four x 4 routes and game drives &
hiking trails are also on offer.
The most spectacular lookout point on the Retreat
overlooks the Loskop Dam and is perfect for viewing
fantastic sunrises and sunsets.
Amanzi Mountain Reserve offers privacy in splendid
surroundings - the ideal location for corporate
executives who need a peaceful and quiet location.
Although the road is fairly well maintained, the last
800m are rough and would best be undertaken in a vehicle
with high road clearance.
Leopard's View
This camp offers four full board chalets and individual
bedrooms with tea/coffee making facilities, overlooking
the breathtaking beauty of the valley.
All chalets vary in style, and some include unique
facilities such as an outside shower or a shower between
rocks and foliage.
Cool down in the natural rock pool with fresh mountain
water on a hot summer's day or keep warm in front of the
restaurant’s fireplace during the cold winters – a truly
romantic setting.

single beds in the 2nd bedroom. Bathroom with a shower.
Living room & small kitchenette with tea/coffee making
facilities.

Hunter's Creek
Two self-catering chalets, well appointed, offer another
idyllic experience.
Unit AHS4 (sleeps 4)
One bedroom with a double bed, 2nd bedroom with two
single beds. Bathroom with a shower. Sleeper couch in
the living room area. Open plan kitchen, equipped with
stove, microwave, fridge, basic crockery, cutlery and
cooking utensils
Unit AHD6 (sleeps 6)
One bedroom with a double bed, loft area with four
single beds. Bathroom with a shower. Open plan kitchen,
equipped with stove, microwave, fridge, basic crockery,
cutlery and cooking utensils.

How to get there
From Johannesburg and Pretoria:
• Take the N12 from Johannesburg or the N4 from Pretoria
to Witbank.
• Just pass the Ultra City take the Vandijklsdrif/Middelburg-West
off-ramp.
• Turn left towards Middelburg on the R575.
• At the T-junction turn right onto the R555.
• The R555 becomes the N11 (just outside Middelburg)
• You will find the turn-off to Amanzi Mountain Reserve
after about 34km (Bankplaas Road)
