Bergwaters
Eco Lodge & Spa is a beautiful peaceful retreat
offering affordable bed and breakfast accommodation,
conference facilities and a country spa set in a unique
secluded valley between Waterval Boven and Waterval
Onder in Mpumalanga, just 2.5 hours from Gauteng.
Bergwaters offers luxury en-suite chalets, family units,
self-catering cottages and an executive/honeymoon suite
with a built in fireplace, all surrounded by pristine
mountain streams and forests teaming with birdlife and
small game. All the rooms have air-conditioners and
DSTV.
Take advantage of our onsite restaurant offering epicure
meals of the highest standard, and a fully equipped spa
- just the place to experience a rejuvenating massage
and body treatment or to treat your spouse to a bliss
boosting experience.
Other facilities on offer are tennis, squash, sauna, gym
swimming pool, trout fishing and pub.
Accommodation:
We offer 7 chalets with en-suite bathrooms, a family
unit with two bedrooms and a bathroom, a self-catering
cottage and a romantic honeymoon suite with a fireplace.
All units are fully serviced. Linen and towels are
provided. All rooms have DSTV and air-conditioning.
Dining:
Our restaurant offers memorable four-course dinners, sun
washed breakfasts and genial lunches either indoors or
on the veranda over looking the pool. Specific meal
requirements can be arranged on request.
Conferences:
If it’s the perfect executive conference venue that
you’re looking for - Bergwaters should be your choice,
offering fully equipped conference facilities supported
by luxurious accommodation, delectable cuisine and
professional hospitality. A fully equipped and
air-conditioned conference room that can cater for up to
24 delegates is available for your specific
requirements.
Facilities:
For energetic guests we have a tennis court, squash
court, dartboard, pool table, gym with a sauna, table
tennis, fly fishing. We have several short nature walks
on the property and on the neighbouring nature reserve.
Abseiling and horse riding can be arranged.
Alternatively, you can simply relax around the pool.
Recreation:
Bergwaters Eco Lodge also allows easy access to the
scenic drives to nearby tourist attractions like the
Kruger National Park, the Blyde River Canyon, with its
magnificent waterfalls and scenery. Take a day tour
through the historical towns of Sabie, Graskop and
Pilgrim's Rest. Alternately, one may visit the Dinosaur
Park at the Sudwala Caves and have tea on the way back
to the lodge in the historical town of Kaapschehoop.
Weddings:
Bergwaters Eco Lodge is the ideal setting for the bride
and groom who would like a small, intimate wedding in a
picturesque setting. There is no chapel on the property
but an outdoor/indoor ceremony could be arranged. The
lodge can be booked out completely for the event and can
accommodate up to 26 guests sharing for sleeping
overnight. The honeymoon suite is offered free of charge
to the bridal couple for two nights if the venue is
booked out for the wedding.
Honeymoons:
Bergwaters Eco Lodge has a large honeymoon suite with a
King size bed, fireplace and huge bathroom with a sunken
bath. Prepare yourself - you will be pampered during
your stay with us.
Spa
Our fully equipped spa offers luxury rejuvenating
massage and body treatments including Manicures,
Pedicures, Aromatherapy, Basalt Hot Stone and Indian
Head massages. Treat yourself or your spouse to a bliss
boosting experience.
